Description
Combining dye powder and Walnut Ink crystals, PaperArtsy Infusions create pretty color with a vintage look and feel. The components dissolve at different rates, allowing you to control how much brown you’ll see from the Walnut Ink crystals. Apply to the surface and mist with water, sprinkle on a wet surface, use with a wet brush, or blend into media like gel medium. Infusions do all that and more, and are suitable for both paper and fabric.
The colour powder particles dissolve faster than the walnut crystals, so you can control how much colour-to-brown stain ratio you get by:
1. the amount of water you apply, and
2. when you apply water (before or after sprinkling the powders) and
3. how soon you dry the wet paper or fabric after applying water.
Blotting before drying will produce a softer result.
Make the product permanent by using with PaperArtsy glazes instead of water, or add gum arabic to the mix as another ‘binding’ option.
Available in 24åÊunique colours. They are sold in small bottles with aluminium caps. To dispense, simply poke a hole in the cap and sprinkle in the concentration of your preference.
