Description
Step into the rich beauty of MULBERRY with the next edition of Spectrum Stories – A Year Through the Colour Wheel.
This edition explores the beautiful versatility of the mulberry spectrum — from soft dusty pinks and muted mauves through berry, plum and wine to deep, velvety purple-red tones. Rich, expressive and wonderfully layered, mulberry invites us to discover how much depth and variation can exist within one colour family. Throughout this creative journey, we’ll build our pages using layered foundations, collage, paint, mark-making, pattern and texture, combining different shades and values of mulberry with crisp black and white details to create contrast and depth. Mulberry can feel soft and romantic, vintage and weathered, bold and expressive, or deep and dramatic. This edition gives us the freedom to explore all of these personalities as we continue building our Spectrum Stories journal.
Expect painterly marks, organic circles, grids, distressed details, abstract imagery and beautifully layered mixed-media elements. We’ll experiment, build texture and allow each layer to become part of the story rather than striving for perfection.
As always, Spectrum Stories is about more than colour. It is about slowing down, creating intuitively and allowing our art to hold pieces of our own story. Each edition adds another chapter to our evolving journal as we make our way around the colour wheel — and mulberry brings a beautifully rich, soulful and expressive chapter.
Tell your story in colour. Welcome to Mulberry — where every shade has a story to tell.
